Humpback Whale Breach in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada
Humpback whale momma and calf, Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada. This pic was captured after momma allowed babe to have a sleep for about 45 min (calf stayed close to surface and clearly visible from the shore). After that time, momma did a gentle dive next to babe; babe blew a little puff of water from its blowhole, and they swam away side by side. Truly an extremely emotional moment for me !
